Not a fan of deep fried everything. Price point was excellent. Great service. _Buffet had something for everyone.
The best war wonton soup! Large portion filled with a great variety of meats and veggies. Their buffet is pretty good too with great service!

"We decided on a Monday morning breakfast to start the week. We were quickly sat down at a window booth and hot fresh coffee served up. The waitress was attentive and took our order within the expected window. My wife ordered the breakfast special for...8.99 and I went for the eggs benny. Both came out fairly warm with the special hitting the mark perfectly. The eggs benedict were pretty good except that the english muffin had likely been warmed on the grill which left a bit of flat top oil taste (bitter). Toasting the English Muffin with a bit a butter would have been much better. All in all a good place to eat for a dependable breakfast in a small town."

"I ordered the deluxe burger. The bun was huge but the patty was really small. It was about the same size as a McDonald's cheese burger patty. The veggies were fresh. And I got tons of fries. But for $16 for a combo I should have got some more meat. The staff were cool. But the restaurant looks really old and dirty."

"I came here with a co worker that used to live in the neighborhood. He raved about The Happy Gnome and I'm here to confirm that it lives up to the hype. The beer menu alone is very impressive. There were so many selections to choose from! The Twin Cities are experiencing a craft beer boom and The Happy Gnome is in full support. I let the server pick my brew based on a few suggestions (I'm rather hop forward myself). That was only the first challenge. The lunch menu is the right size. The problem is that EVERYTHING looks yummy. I once again turned to my trusy server and gave him my short list. He said the ramen my first choice was the reason he works the lunch shift. I can see why! I'd eat it every day if I was in the neighborhood. It was very flavorful. The broth was complex and rice, the assortment of vegetables was colorful and visually appealing. Let the slurpage commence! I need to come back and try the Game Burger, choice #2 that took the backseat to the ramen. In fact, I need to come back a few times. My short list wasn't really very short."

"A truly hidden gem!!St. Paul is fortunate to have a top notch chef. I never had escargot that tasty! We also had the Cornish Hen and Pork for the Mains. I would have ordered more but was already too full. We can’t wait to go to this restaurant again. The food was 5/5. Thanks for the great service and awesome dinner ?"
