"My family of four went today for brunch and most of the menu was unavailable which is fine, we chose from the few available options. We then waited for 50minutes for our food. The chef started shouting loudly in front of everyone (including lots of children and babies): “I’ve had enough of this f ing place, it’s the same every f ing week” and so on. Our food turned up eventually and it was all stone cold. The pancakes were actually raw inside and inedible. I now understand why this was the only place for food in Saffron Walden without a queue round the block. We will not return."

"Perfect small tea room! a table for 7 booked, including small child on bank holiday Monday and the staff could not have been more helpful. scones and cakes are amazing and beautiful sandwiches for small. my daughter loved her huge milkshake and we enjoyed a delicious cup of loose leaf tea. will be returning"

"Ok I love a mix kabab but please do not buy one from here, £15 got me a nice salad, tough piter bread. The meat the bit I love the most was over cooked dry and some even burnt. How can Donna meat be so dry it’s a fatty meat. The chilli sauce was ok."

"So disappointed. Had a fabulous Sunday lunch not so long ago, what has gone wrong? Really limited menu, struggled to order,but the courgette fritters were ok. Cod for main was bland to be honest, nothing on the dessert menu appealed. Waitresses looked as though they would like to be anywhere but there. An alarming amount of flies buzzing around us, and it was so hot, not the restaurant’s fault I know, but still off putting. An hours drive for us, so don’t think we will rush back, which is a shame as we love the venue."

"I stayed overnight in the annexe. Spotlessly clean and the most comfortable bed and pillows. Food excellent. Staff so friendly and attentive. Special thank you to Freddie who was our 5 star waiter. Breakfast excellent. Chef checked up that all was OK. I will certainly stay at The Three hills again."

"Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food was very tasty but you did have to wait a long time between courses so maybe they need more staff in the kitchen. Overall tasty food and very reasonable priced but spoilt it buy the very long wait between starter and main course"
