"In my 3 days in St Gallen, this was the stand out restaurant for me. I was in 2 minds after reading some of the prior reviews, but on the night I went, I had a great evening. I hadn't made a reservation but received...a warm greeting by the lady at front of house. The menu was in English. The food was Swiss styled, well prepared, interesting, seasonal, and service was prompt. Definitely go and have a great time!"

"Today my hubby and I had an extremely frustrating experience with this restaurant. there is a jerk working in her kitchen! we went in without reservation and the restaurant was quite full. but we were told by a waitress that we were sitting on the terrace because it was empty at that time. she should go to the terrace, but she did not when she was busy serving other guests. when we tried to open the terrace door, a man who worked in the kitchen saw us, and gave us a sign so that we could stop it, then pointed his middle finger at us. We felt really insulted and angry, as his sting is dismaying and not acceptable at all. we came back and asked the waitress and received a response sth like “oh the terrace is closed, but I didn’t know it. as always you should not sit there because it gets cold in the evening blazing”. because we were very tired and hungry at the time, we were not going to stay and argue more. we have gone, but have always thought about it. how how how how how how to continue?! communication between employees is very bad and they have a bad guy working in the kitchen.
