"In my 3 days in St Gallen, this was the stand out restaurant for me. I was in 2 minds after reading some of the prior reviews, but on the night I went, I had a great evening. I hadn't made a reservation but received...a warm greeting by the lady at front of house. The menu was in English. The food was Swiss styled, well prepared, interesting, seasonal, and service was prompt. Definitely go and have a great time!"

"Based on previous reviews, this restaurant has really cleaned up its act. We stayed with our son at the hotel and had an outstanding diner there. The amount of choice was just right and just about every ingredient on the menu was local. Even the lamb. Service was fast and friendly, and multilingual of course (this is Switzerland). And then everything we ate was great, with just the right twist on traditional dishes to make them interesting. With several vegetarian options to choose from, even meat-eaters like us got tempted. We like eating out and this is one we will remember."

"It is definitely not the most beautiful restaurant I have ever been. But the schnitzels they bake are really good. You have the choice of a mäuseohr (the smallest, mouse ear) Eselsohr (the middle one, donky ear) elefantenohr (the biggest, elephant ear). The staff is very friendly. Book a table is recommended."
