Excellent as always. Food remains delicious. The mussels with spicy sausage in tomato based broth is literally one of my favorite all-time restaurant meals. Consider it as an entree. My wife veers towards plant based foods, but makes an exception for this bolognese. Enough said. Ideal, knowledgeable service. Great bistro ambiance. Delish food! Great people and atmosphere! We sat at the bar and Daniel was super friendly as was his colleague, but we didn't get his name. Will return! The muscles were perfectly steamed in a very flavorful red sauce and the sausage really made the dish come together. The pork shoulder with risotto special was rich yet so well made and all the flavors blended together beautifully! The pesto homemade fettuccine with chicken special was also a hit. We are foodies and truly enjoy our experience here. Can't wait to return.
As a local I hate to spread the word too much. Cook is hands down exception food, great service and truly special, low key, wine country dining. Risotto's and meat is off the charts. Salad are so perfectly dressed and delicious (and subtle).
The four of us sat at the bar for dinner where Geoffrey attended us. He was very accommodating to our orders and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The food was perfect- especially the clam pasta, the chicken and the panna cotta. Cook is one of my favorite restaurants in Napa. As a part time resident, it's always on my agenda to enjoy lunch or dinner here at least once while I'm here.
Unfortunately I can't remember his name, but our server was excellent and every course was delicious! We sat right by the door which was a little busy, but ended up running into several people. It had a nice neighborhood feel.
We celebrated our 31st anniversary last night and had a wonderful time! Started with the delicious Calamari (we both love calamari and Cook does a fantastic job). I ordered the gnocchi with the Gorgonzola cream sauce, absolutely divine and my husband had the pasta with Bolognese sauce which was also wonderful. Didn't have room for dessert, but the options looked phenomenal. And the music in the background was amazing, I knew every song! Our waitress was kind, described all the specials, made sure we had everything we needed and made great suggestions. I really wanted to have Italian food because we met at an Italian restaurant (I was a waitress at the time). Please send our apologies to our waitress for almost leaving without paying—we are getting very tired from our job with 12-14 hour days, on our feet the whole day. Hopefully she understands. We do try to come there every month or two, the food there is always fantastic and the place is so wonderful! We will be back again and again!!!
