We called ahead to request vegan meals. Not easy to find in NL. Although Bacalo is not a veg restaurant; the owner, chef and waiter went above and beyond to create a gorgeous meal including a delicious chocolate coconut cake for desert. Absolutely perfect! We went for dinner based on some reviews that turned out to be outdated. Their current menu provides a number of tapas dishes from around the world as appetizers and some standard dishes. They had some daily specials that were a bit more exotic. My cheese & mushroom croquettes were good but ordinary. My wife had the jigs dinner cabbage roll. "This restaurant is a must if you're in this area! You have to try the food here!! The prices are really fair, it's not too expensive. The portion sizes are great too, lots of food! It's definitely a great deal. My girlfriend and I both had large plates of food. We were stuffed and the bill only came to $25 before tip! The food is also just mouthwatering! It's so delicious, anything you can try here will be good! I've never been disappointed! Definitely come here if you can!"
