We called ahead to request vegan meals. Not easy to find in NL. Although Bacalo is not a veg restaurant; the owner, chef and waiter went above and beyond to create a gorgeous meal including a delicious chocolate coconut cake for desert. Absolutely perfect! We went for dinner based on some reviews that turned out to be outdated. Their current menu provides a number of tapas dishes from around the world as appetizers and some standard dishes. They had some daily specials that were a bit more exotic. My cheese & mushroom croquettes were good but ordinary. My wife had the jigs dinner cabbage roll.
