We popped in for a snack one day while visiting downtown. Place had just opened. I had the salted meat grill cheese, and the wife had a burger. Salted meat was not what I thought , way to salty for me but after spreading it around the sandwich I managed to eat most of it. Compared with other eateries in downtown St John's, The Ship Inn is below average. The meat pie was lukewarm and contained very little meat, and the bread that came with the fisherman's lunch was dry and tasteless. There's a patio, but it has no atmosphere...and no view.
