"Came here for a Good Friday dinner… the place wasn’t busy…. That should have been a sign.. Food was eclectic and service was sporadic. Tables were sticky and the place just had a feel of unclean… It look like you have walked into a jumble sale… nothing makes sense here (maybe that’s the look they are going for).. Wine is rather overpriced and meals are a 7/10 at best. They had run out of flathead as well as a few other species, so ordering was a case of “what don’t I like the least”. Probably won’t be back, but can say we visited and tried to support a local “icon”."

"The food and service are excellent, but prices are very high - 6 prawns were $56. The only dish which was disappointing was the crab omelette - it was scrambled eggs with not much flavour and cost $34.50. There are not many options for vegetarians. I had a jacket which I put on the back of a chair and a cover, like a pillow slip, was put over it; was this in case food was spilt on it? However, very impressed."
