I felt a bit disappointed that there were no longer vegan-by-default options available, but the server was enthusiastic as they went through the menu and highlighted which dishes could be made vegan. They even recommended which ones would best suit my taste preferences. The deep-fried squash was delicious, and I also enjoyed the bread starter. View all feedback.
What Jackie Lee doesn't like about Little Fox:
Cute ambiance and venue but the food was just ok. My dish arrived cold and I asked them to microwave it, but they went ahead and made me a new plate, which was nice. Grits are not meant to be cold. There was also an fairly unappetizing, lukewarm broth ? floating on top of the grits see photo . I was glad the server was knowledgeable about gluten free options but I was charged extra for GF toast, even though it was no... View all feedback.
Our server Erin was perfect! My boyfriend and I shared the two small plates half chicken with chicken to spare for leftovers. As an industry worker I love that they give you an option to buy the staff a drink when paying the bill; they were all helpful, kind and absolutely killing it in a very busy restaurant!! Crispy Artichokes ?????????? We got 5 single artichokes. VERY tasty but a small portion. Asparagus ?? Everything looked nice. Asparagus was well cooked. Personally didn?t like the gribiche with chopped, cooked egg whites.. and the salad on top was meh. Royal Trumpet Mushrooms ?????????? These alone will bring me back. I will dream about these mushrooms. ???? Half Chicken ?????????? Chicken is pan seared, served with flavorful au jus and topped with tons of crunchy potato string. Smoke Show ?????????? Little Fox Martini ?????????? Pink Negroni (draft) ????
Truly excellent. As a former chef, I'm not frequently impressed a great deal when I go out. But here, the food and ambiance far exceeded expectations, and I can't wait to go back. The trumped mushrooms were cooked perfectly, and the sauce pairings were spot on. The modern play on a wedge salad was executed flawlessly. The cocktails were top notch. And the chicken? Let's just say it's hard to make chicken taste any better. Well done. Can't wait to go back.
Great experience and loved that they have many options to do a family style kind of dining. We had an appetizer and then several small plates plus a few round of drinks. Our server had excellent recommendations on pairings and they had a really interesting natural wine selection. Excited to go back and try a few of the main dishes as well
Fantastic service, food and atmosphere. We had a reservation a month ahead and we?re worried it wouldn?t live up to the hype but it definitely did. The fried artichoke, short rib, njuda croquettes and bolognese were standouts. If I had any critique it would be to have a few more Californian wines like a better selection of Chardonnay as it?s what I?m used to ordering that said the cocktail and beer we got instead were excellent.
The second you walk in the first thing you notice feel are the good vibes of Little Fox. The colors are fresh modern, but feels old school in a way. The service was outstanding. I could not have asked for a better experience with the couple of staff members I interacted with, they were knowledgable, respectful, funny, just great at what they do. Now the food was next level. My fiancée I ordered 2 starters, a small plate (that was bigger than small), the pork chop. We loved every single dish. Everything was perfectly seasoned cooked. We were about 90% done were absolutely stuffed, but we unbuttoned our pants and fought the good fight. 10/10 will be one of my first stops when I come back to St Louis.
