I got two plates (entree and two sides in each plate). Food was still nice and hot when I got home. Everything was comfort food so I felt satisfied after eating. The two plates had enough for three lunches. The Brussels sprouts and kale were my favorite out of the 6 hot options we tried. We also had a really good banana nut muffin. View all feedback.
What Rajiv Y doesn't like about Vegan Natured At Soulard:
Food good but soup was put Styrofoam tray.. not in bowl with cover to go. Soup leaking in bag before we left and told them so. They didn't care. They got the money for the overpriced soup. View all feedback.
I came here years ago with a friend, and I was looking for a certain type of jerky. I think that meat place has changed ownership or downgraded because of pandemic. Anyway, we went here recently and it was incredibly crowded with not everyone wearing masks even though there are signs posted. There just wasn't much of a variety and it didn't seem super clean or hygienic. Parking is a bit of a mess too. One machine was broken for if you park along the street. And the rest of the machines were only for the lot. I had to help several people use the machines. There's no staff out there anywhere to help these people. It just felt dirty and cramped and hot with a lot of low quality stalls.
Spicy but delicious tacos! We ordered to go and it only took a few minutes! The tacos were great and the service was friendly.
Really cool farmers market. Wish we lived in this area because we would do most grocery shopping here. Lots to smell, taste, see, and feel here. We will definitely be back next time we are in St. Louis.
My last review seems to have been randomly deleted by Yelp as happens occasionally. I am not a big fan of the Soulard Farmer 's Market. If you don 't have nostalgic feelings about going there then I don 't think you 'll find much to write home about. If you have a look at quite a few of the reviews here they start off with I remember I used to come here as a kid with my grandma . It 's a glorified farmer 's market with not much going for it besides the usual. The only huge difference between this and any other farmer 's market is the inside which has a good bakery, a good spice store, and a nice meat store. That 's basically it. The rest is filled with ten stalls of exactly the same fruits and vegetables at pretty much the exact same price, some incense, hats, and homemade soap. I 'm simplifying things but not over exaggerating. I have to admit that some of the fruits and vegetables are at a good price. If you have an extra twenty minutes and you have nothing to do by all means come and look at a stall selling rugs, but I wouldn 't say make a special trip. This, really, is just for a trip down memory lane.
Food was too salty. I didn't enjoy it had to pitch it. The staff was VERY friendly. I would definitely try again in the future.
