I did not grow up anywhere where these were popular, but a friend from the city of Chicago who thinks St. Louis/Ballwin is a dinky little city/suburb combo drove by with me and said, Wait? You guys have an Oberweis?? We pulled in and devoured delicious peanut butter milkshakes. There are other ice cream/custard stores nearby that get more attention, but this is right up there with any of them."

"My family enjoyed all of their donuts. Everything starts with a round base cake donut that reminded us of funnel cake. Then you choose which toppings you want. Our favorites were the powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, and the maple bacon. Service was great, too."

"I just stopped by because I was out in the sticks and desperate for something halfway healthy and decent. This place is great! We got a few different plates and ate them family style. Desserts were just ok and the lamb could have been a bit more quality but everything else was great. Chicken kabobs were some of the best I've had. I'll almost certainly be back if I'm in the neighborhood"
