Although something from the outside, with its diner-like appearance, the food tantalized my taste buds. The atmosphere is welcoming, and management tries to create a culinary experience that you will not forget. There was a great selection of wines, with offers that were unique and well selected and were well matched with the creative dishes. I highly recommend this place. The sea bass...Fantastic. Mad Fish is a casual but upscale restaurant St. Pete Beach, built to fashion, a 1950s style restaurant next to the Grand Plaza Hotel, where my wife and I often visit with friends at Bongos Bar and Grille and Level 11 Restaurant. We saw the Mad Fish restaurant several times when we left, and my wife had been a few times. My first visit was that we both celebrate an early birthday. We shared the drunk shrimp appetizer with Cuban bread, a goat cheese dip, then for entrees enjoyed a garlic risotto and a bacon wrapped fillet mignon. For dessert we enjoyed the homemade cheese cake to our birthdays <br/ <br/ The menu although small is cooking-driven New American style kitchen with a focus on local seafood, with a good ratio of land. The wine list could use some improvements to get away from the big named wines, and focus on smaller boutiques to fit the beautiful menu. Overall, I would return. Excellent and friendly service. The Miso fish entree was superb. They are generous in the wine servings. Very quaint place.

Good food! We were completely filled. Waiter was Paul. I didn't want to be better. Great service! The food was delicious, although I usually have easier choices. But we have spoiled a lot for our honeymoon and really enjoyed this place.
