"Decided to try the Bulls Head in Alton on August 1st wish we'd never bothered really. There wasn't many people dining some of the meals others had would have easily been enough for 2 people. I ordered popcorn prawns with sweet chilli sauce mayo (never saw any) to be fair they were nice. Choice was limited i chose a Greek salad to accompany my prawns what a let down it was. The salad consisted of about 70 olives, what seemed a full pack of feta, a few thin slices of tomato some finely chopped onion. It was so bland watery nothing like a proper Greek salad should be. My cousin lived in Crete for years hers taste a million times better (not joking either). 2 stars due to the prawns being ok (otherwise would be 1 star). Sadly, we'd hoped for better."

"We decided to go out to lunch for a little celebration. I booked a table having not been in a number of years. We were greeted by smiling staff and shown to out table. From that moment nothing was too much trouble. The lunch menu while not extensive had a range of choices complemented by a delicious specials board. The food was excellent and the portion size’s generous. Despite the small size of the restaurant and the fact that it was nearly full we never felt pressured to hurry. We will definitely be returning."

"Got home to find the order was wrong, two orders missing their curry sauce and the chips were really quite bad. Very gritty as if sand mixed in made them virtually inedible, they were also hard/stale cardboard texture to a lot of them. Not one to write bad reviews but this was really a huge miss and disappointment"

"Staff were helpful when identify what could be made vegan, they checked with the chef to be sure. The food was extremely boring and bland 3/10. Most of the vegetable options can be made vegan."

"Super friendly staff and very tasty food. Being its not on a high street it is not too busy most nights especially early evening but you can book a table just to be sure. They don't have a licence to sell alcohol but instead they are happy for you to bring your own and thre is a handy mini market next door should you forget. Recommended."
