We were on a weekend away stopping in Basford green and called here Saturday evening. Well what can you say the fish and chips we had were the best ever good portions,everything piping hot and cheap by our standards. The staff so lovely there was 4 staff in there and all took time to chat. The place was spotless. What mcjlm doesn't like about The Avenue:
I have called here a few times on the way home from work. Chips are nice enough but although the fish in the counter look nice every time I have bought one the batter next to the fish is raw which makes the rest of the batter soggy. i will call again for chips only but I have given up on the fish completely now.
