Despite some disappointing dishes, such as fish tacos and halibut, there were standout items like bison carpaccio and the Portabello Mushroom Fries. The historic setting and attentive service received high marks from guests, with some even calling it the best restaurant in Steamboat. Overall, while some diners may have had underwhelming experiences, others enjoyed the fine food and great atmosphere at this establishment.
We had a pleasant and relaxing time at the restaurant. Adam provided excellent service and took great care of us. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and delicious. Don't miss out on trying the Portabello Mushroom Fries! We highly recommend this place.
This was our first visit to this restaurant. The service was good, but we were disappointed by the food. I ordered the halibut, which was simple and tasted low quality, almost like it wasn't real halibut. My husband's steak was just average. Thankfully, there was a discount on entrees that made the meal more affordable, but even at half price, it wasn't worth it. We wouldn't pay full price for this meal.
The steak, halibut, and carbonara were all excellent. On a previous visit, we tried all the appetizers which were equally delicious. The atmosphere was a little noisy, but it was a festive night during mud season.
Loved the mushroom soup and the beet salad! Delicious!!
We flew in from Austin to celebrate my first Mother’s Day with my sister and her husband. The food was incredible. The service was above par and we didn’t feel rushed.
