"A fabulous dining experience, not anticipated in a village as tiny and remote as Oban, Stewart Island. Once you've tried the cozy, intimate setting and the wonderfully prepared menu items... you will go back. From delicious NZ Lamb to outstanding NZ mussels and fine wines dinners, they will be remembered. The restaurant is a very short walk from the village of Oban and Half Moon Bay. Dinner hours are limited and the place is booked early most nights, so do contact them ahead of time for a reservation. You'll thank me."

"Lots of variety. A real country store that tries hard to please. Stock mainly comes in from mainland . Prices reflect distance . Good service 7 days aweek. Hard to miss with great views and a table outside."

"This is a contender for my best ever fish and chips. Defo best so far in NZ but up in the top 2 or 3 worldwide Cod was so fresh and melt in your mouth. No fishiness here just the taste of the ocean and cooked to perfection. Coleslaw and chips were excellent too and it was all fantastic value served by very friendly team."

"Not cheap, but definitiw lives up to the gourmet application. we had tempoura pumpkin with Asian nudelsalat. very tasty and full, bought a beautiful bottle of wine from the foursquare to go with it. nice to have a good option in this small town."
