great craft cocktails. the menu is more contemporary than some of the other language rooms in the environment. the advantage of this conversation over some of the others in the opposite is that there was no need for reservations and no frists. the prices are higher than a normal bar, but well in tune with other high-end facilities. What User doesn't like about The Velveteen Speakeasy:
We tried to get some cocktails on a Saturday night, but we had no reservation, so the hostess only brought us to a standing room next to the bar. Bartenders never came by to get our order and there was no place at the bar to order a drink. Again on a Sunday night tried and had no problem getting a table. Wasn't the experience I had in other conversations. Bright lights and half of the place were closed with a curtain... View all feedback.
Really special setting, fun trying to find the place and what door to go. Feels like you're going back to prohibition days. Blue velvet couches and decor is spectacular. Small menu, but food is really good, beloved Jalepeno Poppers, Berry Crostini and brussel sprouts. Hot dog was surprisingly good.
Great place! Drinks were unique and delicious, food was amazing and the dessert was to die! The live music was great and really added to the ambience.
If you even appreciate the finer things in life a little, you will love this place. If you appreciate a great atmosphere and people who treat their work like works of art, you will love this place. If not, there are always VFWs and American Legions for people like you.
The little plates were great. The drinks were unique and so much fun to watch. It is very busy, I would recommend reservations. In any case it is worth finding. Can't wait to go back.
The food, drinks, service and atmosphere was incredible! Definitely a place I would recommend!
