Apparently the Hotel and restaurant are now under new management and re-opened 5/6/2021, the Hotel is under serious renovation but we understand rooms will be available this week. We visited for lunch today (6/6/2021) and the food was excellent. Service was superb and we could not fault the food and wine in any way. We were staying at the hotel for 4 nights and being in the middle of nowhere it seemed sensible to eat at the hotel both for breakfast and dinner. So breakfast first, good but nothing special in the general opinion. Mushrooms could have do with some more cooking and the Cumberland sausage was the poorest old thing I have ever seen. Go! A wonderful setting, good service and a lovely menu. Scallops to start, “Beef and Reef” with a chocolate fondant to finish! Will be back.

The restaurant has an area where one can enjoy at tables, Depending on the weather, you can also sit outside and eat and drink. A counter with the ability to sit down is available.
