Despite some setbacks with cleanliness and customer service, most found the staff friendly and prices fair. The menu was praised for its simplicity and affordability, making it a perfect stop after a walk around the lake. Additionally, the cafe supports a scheme to help disabled youngsters, adding a charitable aspect to the dining experience. Overall, it's a recommended spot for a relaxing meal in a beautiful setting, with the potential for meeting new people and enjoying time with pets.
We had been for a walk around the lake and rather than go straight home , decided to nip in for a coffee. The outside space desperately needs cheering up. It needs jet washing as do the tables and chairs . The area is mottled with bird poo . The peace was disturbed by the waitress clattering around clearing chairs and tables as it wasn’t far off closing . Coffee tepid .
Breakfast and cakes were lovely served by the young man, however we had a little accident at our table which I offered to clear up if the waitress Jenny would kindly hand me a dustpan! No she was shaking her head and so ignorant and rude! Please teach her some customer service skills which she clearly lacks! Made my daughter feel awful for spilling her seeds all disabilities are not visible!
I stopped in at this restaurant after a nice walk with my family. We were welcomed by a friendly young server. The service was excellent and the prices were very fair. Thank you to Lydia, our server, for a wonderful visit.
Lacking the charisma it used to have maybe, but providing take away coffees and food during lockdown, this is a good place to go to.
Not been for a while because of Covid etc. but it would appear that management have seen sense and scrapped the fancy up market menu and have gone back to sensible food for walkers etc. all at sensible prices. Their take away collect menu at the moment is just great. I hope they have the good sense to leave it that way when restrictions are over and we are back to normal
