What Tajsurfer likes about Barnacles:
Not been in this one for a while, more recentlyat the one in Yarm. I have to admit though this one is just as good, if not better than Yarm. Excellent serice, reasonbly priced, and a red hot meal with fish as white as snow in lovely crispy batter. Nice staff friendly staff too, what more can you as for read more.

The restaurant also offers the possibility to sit outside and eat in beautiful weather, And into the accessible rooms also come guests with wheelchairs or physiological limitations.

What JayAndZ doesn't like about Barnacles:
We used to visit this restaurant on a regular basis years ago when it was very blue had fishing nets/ anchors etc up inside as decoration. The restaurant is completely different now very bare plain. It looks much more modern but feels like it lacks any atmosphere. The food (fish chips, fishcake chips) was very tasty, huge portion sizes and good value for money.
