The Corner Tap - Stockton

I was so happy to find a place where I could get a great pizza, and not have to drive to chicago.... well I did... My first visit was great! Pizza was awesome, the lady was nice.. I celebrated in a sense .. finally! But then I kept going back.. each time , just a little ruder, wait a little longer.. then there was last night.. Nothing like being treated like nothing.. so I call, lady picks up, I know Fridays are busy seeing they have great food.. because I'm not ordering fast enough, she asks me who I'm talking to at the top of her lungs threw the phone.. I'm taken, I ask did u just yell at me.. the phone goes dead.. seeing I just bought a house two minutes away, I'll go in.. WHOA bad idea. I walk in.. both workers look at me from behind the bar, and continue talking. The short blond looks me right in the face, and continues to giggle, older gentleman serves a picture of beer looks at me and walks away.. I continue to stand there, finally the blond asks me how she can help. I say I would like to talk to a manager, I was just yelled at on the phone. She throws her hands up and says, u can handle this one , and looks at the old wr guy, I tell him what happens, this man goes in the back room and gets the person who yelled at me and brings her out, she then gets in my face telling me she wasn't yelling.. I run a store .. u DO NOT GET TOUR EMPLOYEE TO CONFRONT A CUSTOMER WHO IS PUTTING IN A COMPLAINT! this establishment is great to the locals.. not good for us people passing threw, or who are not from here.. I've ordered out from here 8 times since March. And 5 out of the 8 the people behind the counter have made me so uncomfortable.. If your not local.. ur better off at jj freddies

Great place to hang out with a very friendly atmosphere

This place was a great stop between Galena and the northeast suburbs of Chicago. And SO CHEAP. But maybe that's just my city inflated prices, had pints of Blue Moon for $3 each. There are also some weekday deals i didnt see until I went to pay. Great fried apps! Will stop there again!

Stop that at a gas station on the north side of town they suggested this place and it was an excellent place to eat and have a brew if you was so inclined food was great

First of all, Pat ALWAYS remembers me and my name. I think he 's got the skills to recall names with the face, I 've seen him greet others the same way. Makes you feel appreciated. THEN he ALWAYS remembers what I drink and what we typically order for an appetizer. Of course we tip well. Always over-tip your server they are not there for entertainment, they are there to earn a living. Now, on to the food and drink... the Corner Tap has great weekday lunch specials and the whole menu is good for bar food . It 's a fun atmosphere, we always feel welcome. (Unlike Dooley 's in Galena. You will definitely feel like an outsider at Dooley 's. Too bad, because I 'd like to patronize that bar)
