"Cosy, vegan/vegetarian café in Buxton. Owners very welcoming and accommodating. We had the vegan mushroom soup with vegan butter and roll, Coronation tofu sandwich and the vegan Indian burger. "Having paid for a meal at the time of ordering confirmation of payment being accepted I was astounded to find the delivery driver had been sent back to our property, banging on my door to ask for payment at 10:30pm as his manager had sent him back. This is despite us telling him it was already paid for when he first delivered the meal at 7pm. He wouldn 't accept the fact and knocked on again after we 'd closed the door. To make matters worse, when we called up to confirm we 'd already paid and it was showing deducted from our bank, the person who answered the phone said well, if you think you 've paid! . We don 't think we paid, we know we paid and told you this 4 times. Having spoken to Eddie, who was a manager that kindly called me back from the landline, after I was told the manager was not in until tomorrow, I can accept the explanation of a mistake on their part but not that someone found it acceptable to send the driver to my door to confront my wife at 10:30pm, without any face covering, 1 foot away during COVID. Atrocious experience."
