"Their food is Always good, and they have the BEST SALSA in all of SanAntonio !! In all the years of eating there I have never tried their the puffy tacos because my mom made the Best ones! Whenever she was going to make them and our friends found out they all wanted to come eat at our house! Well tonight I tried them with the picadillo meat and OMG I hate to say it but they were better than moms puffy tacos!!"

"Being from SOCAL, and traveling to Tijuana regularly I can confidently give this a 10/10. It was very tasty and the condiments were a welcome surprise. I only wish they sold grilled cebolla and chile güeritos. I would order this again and recommend it to others."

"It was always decent. One of those affordable hole in the walls that felt cozy feeling. The food was average especially for the price. However ever since they moved locations, the food just gets worse and worse each time. I go because my dad has gone for many years and likes the food and the price... he just likes to go for the fried fish platter. I've gone 5 times since the new location. The food is so bland. The breading for the fish, onion rings, chicken fried steak is terrible. I've ordered food to go 2x as well to take home to my family. Both times I asked for gravy and cheese on the chicken fried steak AND the fries. They just don't understand exactly what that means. The first to go plate only had gravy and cheese on the chicken fried steak; not the fries. The second time, the waiter insisted I get the cheese and gravy on the side so it wouldn't make the food soggy. I thought it was a nice suggestion. They bagged it up knotted it so I would have to rip the bags open to check it. This time they completely left off the gravy and cheese. Wasn't even on the side. Sucks bc the chicken fried steak is so bad it requires the gravy to be decent. It's just frustrating. I give it 2 stars because the service is normally good. They lose stars for food taste and not following simple instructions. Don't worry though, my dad loves it and won't stop going."

"The southern and western sides of the city seem to draw me to them about nostalgia and a psychic attraction that has evolved in the happy years that I grew up there. There are still a few restaurants that have remained relevant over the decades and are therefore open, which I now pay for an excursion to the city. Of course, the food is good and the prices are usually very good. But it's a feeling that you get a little bit like you're going to visit the house of your favorite grandmother. It can have a funky smell or maybe the look could use a facial lift, but your memory serves a heaping support of good vibes and satisfied teemies that continue to improve your return. With a huge nostalgic dose, Nicha's is just over the highway from the old mission drive-in and it is art deco fassade consisting of a huge Kurvilinear wall that used to light the night to win outdoor movie goers. Nicha does not need advertising, as it attracts customers for good drinks and tex-mex, regardless of the time of day. With some potent Mexican martinis in my hand, I was happy to remine a bit and look at my formal years in old San Antonio while waiting for plates of nachos, puffies and evaporating enchiladas. Many restaurants have come and have gone in the last 50 years, but be assured that there are still long-lived favorites for you to discover or enjoy as we have done today. "We ordered 6 tacos but only got 5. We were in a hurry so we realized it once we had left the restaurant. The bacon and egg taco was delicious but the potatoe and egg taco had no flavor and the potatoes were raw."
