No workers at the counter at middle of the day. Fresh Dough was ready to make and they said they couldn't make any.
This pretzel shop is located at the food court inside the Erie Islands Ohio Turnpike Service Plaza. While waiting on the line I noticed there was some light verbal altercation between the customer in front of me and the cashier. The gurl at the cashier was definitely not the friendliest staff you'd ever meet. She didn't smile at any customer; pretty much a typical jaded worker, so I couldn't really blame her. So when it was my turn, I didn't expect any great service, I just wanted to buy my food. I ordered an original regular sized pretzel nuggets with a cheese sauce. She took my order and payment and went got me my pretzel. But she forgot my cheese. When I asked about my cheese, she just whipped it out below the counter unapologetically as if it was her intention all along to give it to me only after I asked. Again, I didn't make a big deal out of it, but it wasn't a great customer service, let me tell you. The pretzel was pretty delicious, very buttery. But the cut was pretty uneven though. Some pieces were a quarter of an inch and others were an inch long. The cheese sauce was horrible, omg, it tasted like super salty oil with no cheese flavor whatsoever. Dunking your already salted pretzel to this sauce made the whole pretzel super duper salty.
This place always closes way before 5! It’s annoying I got here at 4:10.
Saw the dried out food under the heat lamp and there was no way I was touching that. So it was a big pass.
