This was such a great experience for us. Traveling from Boston for our anniversary, we arrived at 5:45 pm. We loved the ambience (dim lighting, rustic, very quaint) had a great view of the pasture across the street, our waiter was excellent. We had dietary restrictions, they immediately accommodated, no questions asked. Service and food were 5 star. Ordered the pork ribeye, chicken special, chicken curry, mussels app... What Brooks Brekke doesn't like about Bistro at Ten Acres:
we are great fans of tbata and have eaten there many paints in the run of the years. this visit was the first to be disappointing, especially because of the waiter who was assigned to our table, who was uninterested, gruff and rushed us. Usually the service is excellent, we will be back, but hopefully we will not meet this waiter again. View all feedback.
Amazing eating and ambiente. they were able to sit 8 people in the night and we had a small private room, it was so beautiful. the brittle spirouts were the best I had and the duck was also amazing
The special veal on mashed potatoes and veggies garnished with popped corn is absolutely delicious. Mussels were heavenly. And wine selection was great. Gracious hosts, quiet atmosphere, and nice decoration just adds to the experience. Every time we are in Vermont now, we are making sure to try this again.
Otherwise of our meals Salmon and Pork were over cooked. The chef must have been busy with other large parties and did not pay attention to our meals. The vegetables were fine however
The staff was super friendly, accommodating, and truly eager to give us a great experience. The food was excellent the duck was perfect! other folks in our party had the mussels, the fish, and steak...all loved their dinner.
Beautiful location opposite the bergens, but they decided to play a kerl live music. how regrettable. the service was missing. the food was disappointing over the board. the truffled fries tasted frozen and drowned in a mysterious green sauce. no indication that the vegetables were freshly picked up from a nearby farm. desserts were also disappointing and doubtful that they were made home. maybe they pick them up from the post. cocktails tasted like hard liqueurs: no fine or craftsmanship. we really wanted to like this place, but have hated the whole experience. the brot and the butter tasted really good!
