"Turkenloch is a fascinating restaurant with an interesting history. it should be a tunnel from the restaurant, under the river mura to Slovenia to gornja radgona castle. this comes from when the ottomans attacked the region and bad radkersburg built a wall. to defend itself. it was on the Venice-Vienna route and has become rich. the restaurant was actually a bar until about 4/5 years ago and was converted into a beautiful old restaurant with good eating."

"The place where the restaurant is located is small and very pretty, the restaurant inside is as far as I saw native. We were greeted right away and since the weather was nice, they had covered the garden for us. First there was a home made vermouth and a strawberry rose Bellini as an aperitif. The cover was a butter with chive oil, radishes, game spread and cress. As a greeting from the kitchen there was a foamy celery soup there must have been mushrooms, almonds and a dried tomato I will dream of this soup for a long time it was so excellent. Then came a zucchini roll with trout and finally, as a main course, a summer buck with truffled potato gratin. The desserts were a gin tonic and a blue sheep And when we said goodbye, there were chocolates with lychee cream and a strudel dough with a pumpkin seed cream the strudel with this pumpkin seed cream... wonderful just fantastically good. The staff was a bit friendly the siblings Rauch's top performance! I take my hat off and would love to come back."

"Der Anblick des Schlosses Kapfenstein, wenn man von Süden kommt, entlockt ein beeindrucktes "Wow". Die alte Burg thront majestätisch auf dem steilen Burgberg, der einstmals ein Vulkan war. Meine Frau und ich sahen es erstmals auf der Rückfahrt von einer Wanderung am "Weinweg der Sinne" und es war uns sofort klar, da müssen wir einmal direkt hinfahren. Die gastlichen Räume im gepflegten Schloss sind ein alter Gewölberaum und einer mit einer uralten hölzernen Kassetendecke, die entweder einige Stufen hinab oder hinauf vom leicht ansteigenden Gang auf der rechten Seite gelegen sind. Sie haben das Flair alter Gemäuer und strahlen Gemütlichkeit aus. Bei sonnigem warmen Wetter kann man im Schlosshof oder auf der Terrasse sitzen, die einen prachtvollen Ausblick auf die Kirchturmspitze des Ortes darunter und über das hügelige Land bietet.Die Küche ist hervorragend. Immerhin haben sich die Köche auch 2017 wieder eine Haube nach Gault & Millau erkocht und gehören damit zu den Spitzenköchen der Steiermark. Die Speisekarte ist eine Ansammlung von Köstlichkeiten, die natürlich saisonal sich ändern. Die Damen im Service bemühen sich mit Herzlichkeit, die Wünsche der Gäste zu erfüllen. Die Preise erschienen uns günstiger als in den anderen Restaurants (mit zwei Hauben), die wir ansonsten gerne aufsuchen. Wir haben das Essen in diesem historischen Ambiente jedenfalls genossen und werden sicher wieder dort einkehren."
