What User likes about Straffan Inn:
For a pub that's owned by the k club and steeped in history, it's pretty dour. The lounge is slightly better that the bar but not by much. I remember this place when it was with the previous owner. There were old school tables as bar tables. It's only slightly better since then. They have done since work in the courtyard and given the outside a lick of pain. Traditional old Irish pub with a beautiful pint of Guinness and Irish Stew. I love this pub.

"Place looks lovely though I've never been there. Only used the hotel I'm only giving it 5 stars because I feel envious of the retired people playing golf. I'd love to be them."

"Matt The Rasher is a favourite among my friends and I. It is without doubt the best bacon sandwich I've had in Dublin, quality irish food without the fuss. What more do you need when you want to indulge on a weekend!! The breakfast menu is definitely a winner for me. You can pick any combination of pieces to have with your breakfast or you can just go for the big one and get the Matt's Famous. The staff are always very accommodating when you visit too. It's a proper down to earth quality little cafe."
