"We had lunch there today and both went for the Taste of Waterloo Region special, which was smoked trout on an in house made bagel with in house made cream cheese topped with pickled onions and asparagus all locally sourced. It was delicious and a real deal at only $20 with a side salad. Service was top notch as well!"

"My wife and I were excited to try our first meal in Stratford at Bijou on September 2, 2023. While the service was impeccable, we did not enjoy our culinary experience.We ordered a medium rare sirloin cap which unfortunately arrived to our table well done, smothered in sauce. The chef must have clearly known it was not cooked correctly and covered it in sauce instead of firing a new steak $44). At first it was no big deal we understand that this happens and they were more than happy to return our food.We ordered another dish the Argentinian shrimp. After cutting into the shrimp we discovered it was RAW! Completely grey on the inside and it was not de veined properly either.My wife and I left extremely disappointed on our wedding anniversary with stomach upset overnight."

"In a strip mall, in the middle of nowhere, is where I had one of my best culinary experiences. The place looks like your typical sports bar with really bad 90's music playing. Usually that will bring down the best reviews to a 3. That being said, the taste and the quality of the food can make me overlook those drawbacks. The scotch eggs were very good, the haggis, neeps and taties were perfection. The sticky pudding and cranoch desserts were made to perfection as well. You must be into hearty Scottish cuisine to fully appreciate this place. They have burgers, sandwiches and such but I love my Haggis!"
