"I was excited to visit this restaurant after reading the reviews and being a new resident of this beautiful city in search of a few tried true local hotspots. Have to sorrily say I wasn 't impressed. We all ordered poutine and an order of battered mushrooms to share. Though a filling meal, the battered mushrooms were over cooked, just shy of being burnt, and the poutine was not awesome. 1) Each one varied in portion size; some plentiful while others hardly filling the cardboard container. 2) Lack of gravy in all servings/portions. 3) Fries were not what we expected, not saying they weren 't fresh crinkle cut since all of us held different opinions, however, we all agreed we expected better for this type of restaurant. Usually the fries keep customers coming back. 4) Not authentic poutine at all. No cheese curds as expected, just a cheap bi coloured, marble cheese blend that didn 't even melt more wilted looking. For the price, we all expected cheese curds. ...Not sure if we visited on an off day. The line was long which typically indicates yummy awesomeness yet, for me and my bunch, not so satisfying and nothing to write home about."

"I have nothing but praise for Stratford Thai Cuisine: excellent food and friendly service; central location, near the wedding cake Town Hall; and good prices, especially for lunch. My stir fry chicken cashew with jasmine rice was excellent, and my friend claimed that his pineapple chicken curry was first rate too. This was my first but certainly not my last visit to Stratford Thai Cuisine. Keep the address B-82 Wellington in mind next time you're at The Festival."

"We were here twice for meals, mainly because it was open! So many places close early in this city!...or have strange hours considering it is a theatre town! Our first visit was for lunch before the theatre. Sadly, they had run out of meatloaf but our schnitzel sandwich was delish! I did not much like the bun but the actual pork schnitzel was great. AND knowing we had the theatre to go to, the service was prompt, efficient, and very friendly. Our next visit was for a late breakfast and the choices were abundant. I had the Perth County breakfast plate and asked for crisp bacon, which I got...often the kitchen ignores that part of an order! They do serve all-day breakfasts. My only slight complaint was the rather bland coffee at breakfast. ...but won't take points off because of that. I am a big latte fan as I grew up in a European home where my mother served lattes....no foam, just coffee with milk (tejes caffe) in our culture.Highly recommend this place."

"Gf pasta is prepared separately. Our server, though not very knowledgeable herself, was quick to ask questions on our behalf. There is a separate gf menu. We felt confident dining here our gf meals were delicious!"

"Our dinner was perfect. Alysia (sp? served us made us feel as if we were the only people in the extremely busy restaurant. She explained everything, made great suggestions continually but not intrusively checked in on us. We had the three course prix fixe the wine pairings were perfect! The fish was the best I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked served hot! I look forward to my next visit. Reservations are a must."

"This is not our first visit to the Bruce. This time we brought our mom and she had a lovely time. The service at the Bruce is amazing from the time you make your reservation to the time you arrive and depart. I highly recommend the afternoon tea. It is such a treat but more an experience of flavors with food and delectable teas.The pool and hot tub are well maintained and we have used both on our last visit. A special thank you to all the staff who are so welcoming but care about your stay. The gentleman who brought us to our room was charming and funny.Rob was also helpful and wonderful during or stay. A special thank you to Mel who helped with our last two visits and made them both special and memorable. I cannot say enough from the gorgeous rooms, food, cookie holiness but also wonderful staff. A great getaway from the city nestled in Stratford. Thank you!!Rooms: So spacious and relaxing. Large restrooms with ample accommodations to please everyone.Walkability: Everything is close by and the grounds are great to explore.Food drinks: Room service always a lovely treat and the staff go above and beyond to make your meals special. Avocado toast a must try as well as the Grass Fed Burger.Noteworthy details: Cookie hotline a must try. Such great flavors."
