"We found this delightful restaurant after we biked around the Müggel lake on a Friday. Luckily we sat at the last available table in their charming outdoor setting as this eatery is very popular with the locals, make sure to book ahead. We received...an English menu and were perfectly looked after. Serving sizes are generous, so bring an appetite or share plates, as was recommended to us. We had mixed cold entrées (krios meses) and perfectly slow cooked lamb (exochiko). Delicious!"

"Wir sind hier seit über 10 Jahren Stammkunde. Nach dem Umbau nach einem Wasserschaden hat sich das Ambiente nochmal verbessert, an den Speisen und am herzlichen Service gab es noch nie was zu meckern. Da das viele wissen und schätzen, sollte man am Wochenende möglichst einen Tisch reservieren, sonst muß man warten, bis ein Tisch wieder frei wird. Hier kann man sich für ein paar Stunden fühlen, als wäre man im Urlaub !! TOP!!"

"Visit the Castle Hotel Das Lakeside for the first time. The review for the hotel can be found elsewhere. Here only the short information: clean, modern room. Nice breakfast not to complain. Sauna very pleasant hot, pool also very clean and with 9x9m an acceptable size. All right. But in the evening bus from Berlin you drive well 90 minutes for 60km...!!! Now to my visit to the restaurant: for the quick reader everything in good order. I don't share the Varta Guide with 3 diamonds. I'd forgive two diamonds. In detail: Before visiting the sauna, eat something. I'm sure there's a burger. It's called Lakeside Burger. There's a white bread. Then the greeting from the kitchen: a small duck breast on salad is just inside. Try it too. Now I'm waiting for the burger. That'll reach me after a short half hour. Nice homemade. A big portion of salad. And still potato chips. The bathroom is missing. I'm a little disappointed. Then the burger. Didn't know that this is so much and fits in the mouth. But very tasty. Don't make a mole. Fresh salad. Tastefully, there is not to mecker. Potato columns very abundant. The Dipp goes like that. A big part. For 11. € I am more than tired. I'm sorry, no photos. Maybe next time?"

"Update 27.10.23: since our 3 visits here happened a lot. The service was extremely friendly professional, they‘ve changed the menu from Italian to Bavarian and heavily reduced it — for good. Thanks for this nice experience with good food — Well, we've been at this Place 3 weeks ago and I have to say, that our expectations were too high and we came out at the end a bit disappointed. The service was not professional BUT very engaged and friendly (these are the first two points) the third point I give for the starters . . All of them were good quality. The catastroohy startet with the main menus... noodles were coocked to death, pizza was cold ... so bottom line. They have potential, but where is the kitchen chef ?"

"We ended up coming to Bechstein's on an early Friday night. We ordered some food which was nice and more than enough. In fact it was more than needed, my wife was served two Schnitzels instead of one. Something we had already experienced before was the rather slow service. Even though only a guests were present, it took a while until we had our drinks and food. Something we found extremely disturbing were the TV's running. No need for that!"
