"I have been going here for many years now. They have a great draft selection, the bar is nice and not normally overly loud (except for during events, which is to be expected), and the staff is very knowledgeable about beer. I would recommend to anyone that has not been here to check this place out. Note: they are no longer selling carry out beer. They have gotten out of the retail game."

"I wrote a review about this establishment in March of 2022 and I’m afraid I was naïve at that time. My last three visits to Chuggars have been great with regards to the band, but the service has been aweful. The last two times we had to deal with patrons putting “reserved” signs on four and six-top tables in case their friends show up resulting in my group having to stand and forgo food. During one visit we asked our server for menus for our group of four which never came, we reminded her everytime we could flag her down that we needed menus (during our entire visit but she kept forgetting. We never got menus and never got to order food. Most recently we ordered a round of beer which didn’t come for over 20 minutes; we reminded the server twice and both times she said “they’re sitting there, I just have to get them”. Last night a bar back tried to serve my husband at the bar. Hubby had cash in hand and ordered two Yuengling drafts. The bar back said “that’ll be $8 I think”, hubby suggested he find out the price and the guy rang it in and came back and charged him $6.50. The manager always walks around with a drink in his hand and behaves like a guest. I’ve never seen him clear tables, deliver food (it piles up in the kitchen window and sits.. or help out in any capacity. He parties and dances all night, sometimes joining the band to sing a song or two. I cannot even think of a scenario where this mess would be acceptable to the owner of Chuggars, unless the staff are related to the owner? No one cares about the terrible service and we hear other people complaining amongst themselves about it as well. They would be making more money if they had service. The same two servers are always there. My suggestion if you go to Chuggars is order your drinks at the bar and order your food in the back and serve yourself."
