Upon entering the pub, I was warmly greeted by a friendly bartender who made me feel welcome, even though it was my first visit. It made me appreciate the challenges of being a bartender, always having to be courteous and polite. I ordered the scampi and chips, which was cooked perfectly. I drove up from Manchester for a couple of days and went in the Prince of Wales for a meal, we had a beautiful mixed grill, seb the owner (who is very young) made us feel really welcome and looked after us, he is chatty, friendly and above all he has the best customer service ever, all his customers comes first everytime, definitely recommend this pub and I will be back in the summer, well done seb and teamsee you soon Ann and geoff
Warm welcome, pleasant table in quiet corner. Food came promptly piping hot. We chose whitebait to share as a starter plenty for 2, very tasty. Then I had the steak pie, and my wife had scampi, both served with lots of very nice chips. Good beer, nice wine. Then we walked home. Very pleased, we'll be back. The curry night looks interesting...
We booked a table for sat night for 4 couples .We last visited the Prince 2 years ago and had the most awful meal after various stand in landlords had run the place into the ground we vowed never to return.I am glad we did return as the transformation is great lovely friendly landlord and land lady and we were looked after all evening by Steve what a great people person.We even met the chef and complimented him on the food served.The food was very tasty and presented nice and hot ,steaks ,gammon,chicken various dishes and all clean plates at the end.One of our party mentioned that it was the nicest meal he had ever had at the Prince .The new carpet and re decoration makes for a very warm and welcoming atmosphere.We will definitely support the Prince and wish them all the best for the future nice to have our local back .See you soon keep up the good work .
Visited Prince of Wales for the first time since new management The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pub was very quiet but we were there early. we had a grandchild with us. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. We will visit again soon
