"Absolutely stunning food as shown in the photo attached and compared to local venues a massive step up in service, food quality and lovely views. This hidden secret is just going from strength to strength. Well done to the whole GBH team."

"We called in for breakfast on a very busy Saturday and even though they were short staffed they coped remarkably well. There is always a good breakfast here reasonably priced. The takeaway mince pies are excellent."

"We are local and after a lovely walk on the beach we decided to pop in the Bell to treat ourselves to fish and chip supper. What a disappointment, the service was super speedy and that was because the fish was obviously not cooked to order but had either been sitting under a heat lamp or refried, it was incredibly dark and crispy and dry although not inedible, the chips were great and enjoyable. There was another table near us who had the same complaint. We mentioned to the waiter that the fish was severely over cooked and he apologised and said he would tell the chef. Great shame as not a cheap supper. As the driver I had a pint of orange juice and lemonade which at over £5 was a real rip off!!"

"My husband and I visited the Queen for lunch. We were with our baby son in his buggy, the restaurant was buggy friendly and great to visit as a family. We had really great service and absolutely loved our food, would highly recommend the beef pie. This is a fantastic place to visit if you want great quality British classics, good portion sizes too. If we are nearby again we would not hesitate to revisit the Queen it was just fab!"

"A lovely setting and a good range of dishes to choose from. The main courses were lovely, including the slow cooked beef, chicken supreme and soup. These all tasted great. Nobody in our group of five had any complaints. The location is a lovely setting, with a log burner and contemporary meets traditional ambiance in the bar and restaurant. This was well balanced. I found it to be a tad expensive. Including, £16.50 for a quiche £18.75 for a chicken supreme. I appreciate that prices are more than just the meal themselves, but still when all things are considered, I found that these prices raised expectations too much and led me to cut back on drinks. A few areas which prevented a five star review: the waitress was very attentive, but needs to relax a little. Be calm and less intense, as she did a great job but was coming across as trying too hard. I personally did not like having a 'dog menu ' on the same page as the ordinary menu. Reading about dog 's dinners put me off selecting my own food. the crumble dessert needed more crumble, as it was mostly filling."

"Hotel prices but below average food and average service. Long waits even though half empty restaurant, TINY fish starter presented without lemon, no offer of bread or rolls, dry slice of bread with a soup, tiny open tart SMOTHERED in balsamic glaze so that was all I could taste! Frozen supermarket style chips!"

"We have been regulars at Munchies for many years now and would not hesitate to recommend this brilliant cafe to anyone visiting Aldeburgh for coffee or a bite to eat. Susie and her entire team go out of their way to make you feel welcome and our visit today was no exception. As always we were greeted with a smiling face and the fantastic hot chocolate went down a treat sitting outside on a beautiful crisp January day. The hot drinks and the delicious home cooked food is “made with love… by Susie Medland” and the vibe of this cafe certainly makes you feel like one of the family. The food is extremely reasonably priced and there is an extensive menu for breakfast/ lunch, hot and cold snacks and also lots of tasty homemade cakes and pastries. We love sitting outside the front at a cafe table, whatever the weather, watching the world go by in this beautiful seaside town and chatting to the locals and Susie’s regular customers, of which there are many! And it is not hard to see why. If you are looking for good food and great coffee, together with amazing service you must put this place on your list when you next visit Aldeburgh"
