"I don't normally write a bad review purely because of service, but I have to make an exception due to the way the manager handled my complaint. We ordered two margherita pizzas, and one of them came undercooked - it looked paler than the other and when I tried a first bite it tasted like uncooked bread dough. I discretely called the manager over and mentioned the issue. He was immediately defensive saying that this is how it's traditionally made, that it cooks in 90 secs, etc. I say I am Italian and I know the taste of uncooked dough, I have made undercooked pizza myself. He says: I can put it back in the oven if you like it crispy, but it may burn. I say: I think you should make another one. He agrees but not before saying: so you want it crispy. I say with a smile: I want it cooked. Then a new properly cooked pizza came out. Never did the manager apologise for the inconvenience.I don't think that customers are always right, but they should at least be given the benefit of the doubt. Especially when an almost untouched pizza is sent back and could be checked by the chef."

"On August 13 we had dinner here. Had amazing chowder, great scallops, acceptable poutine, steak sandwich with berry salad looked good and I was able to have a small glass of beer which was perfect for me. I like to have some but can never finish a regular 1/2 pint. But I didn't give a higher rating because of the incredibly unpleasant and unsmiling hostess. She seated us with a broody look on her face as if she couldn't wait to get away from her job. I watched her seat others and same treatment. Not a smile when you approached her, not a smile when she seated you nor a "have a nice evening" or "enjoy your dinner". She just left. I found it incredibly off putting. You must change this. She's the first person you meet there , your first contact. The waitress on the other hand, very nice and pleasant and efficient. Change the hostess and I would give this place a higher rating."

"Delicious unique preserves, amazing online presence, stellar customer service. This shop/ restaurant is a destination for any food/garden lover visiting PEI. When I think of PEI ... beaches, lupins, icecream, farms, pottery, antiques and PEI Preserves! Such a lovely spot with quaint gifts and a cosy cafe filled with homemade goodness. You can even get a peek at the production area and stroll through the gardens overlooking the serene Clyde River. Love it so much!"

"Make sure to get to this place early. We got here at 5 and did not have to wait. It opens at 4 o'clock right now. This is a 4 course meal. You start with soup, either seafood chowder or tomato basil and rolls. Mussels are next, then salad, and then the lobster comes out. And then desert. The tomato basil soup is nothing like La Madeleine in the United States, it is not creamy. It is very much tomato and a lot of pepper, so I did not enjoy it. Also, we did not enjoy the seafood chowder. It was very bland and did not have much flavor. The rolls were okay, and the salad was just a basic salad. The star of this meal for us were the muscles and the lobster and dessert. You can ask for a 1/2 bucket or a full bucket of muscles to start. My husband ate 3 buckets; he loved them. The lobster was good also, and they had already pre -cracked the areas that needed to be cracked. So you did not have to deal with that tool. I got coconut cream pie for dessert. And it was so good that I got a second one. My husband really enjoyed the raisin pie. And he also got a Strawberry Shortcake, but that was not very good. You can have as much as you want of anything except for the actual lobster. Also, if you do not like lobster, you can get different dishes like steak or scallops, or just everything else except for the lobster at a less price. We are planning to return. And my husband wants to just get the muscles. And I want to try the scallops next time."

"We discovered the Olde Dublin Pub about quite a few years ago while vacationing in Charlottetown and since then we always go back as the food is truly tremendous. We were happy to see they survived the pandemic. Our only issue was with the reservation system, which we tried for the first time this year. We wanted a table in the small outdoor terrace. I clearly specified this in the reservation request and since the reservations was quickly confirmed in email with no specific message, I assumed it was ok. When we arrived, the greeter said they don't take reservations for the terrace and tried to seat us inside. When I pointed out that we weren't told this, he checked the terrace and found us a table (there were two available). I get that the weather can be unpredictable and had it been raining we would have of coutse agreed to sit inside but when receiving reservations that request outside, if the restaurant isn't willing to accept such a reservation without condition, they should really say so in the confirmation!"

"My husband and I have dined at Ta-ke Sushi in Charlottetown for many years, always enjoying very good sushi and pleasant service. We ate there in June and had a somewhat different experience. The food was still good, although my Dragon Roll had what seemed an excess of tempura crisps (used as filler)? and wasn't rolled as tightly as usual, making it difficult to eat. Perhaps this was a result of so many tempura crisps and very little substantial in the roll. My husband's Spicy Scallop Roll was good as usual.However, the server was extremely unpleasant - unwelcoming and almost rude in her attitude. We hope it was just an off day for her and that she will realize that she plays an important role in helping to make dining at Ta-ke Sushi a pleasant experience in which people will want to return."
