"Stayed at the Cabanas this weekend and thought it might be a good idea to try a different spot. The restaurant is located in the Palace, and is quite small with only 10 tables inside. We were greeted by a very friendly manager who made us all feel welcome instantly. They have a small menu with 1 amuse bouche, 4 starters, 4 mains and 2 deserts. The food in all was very tasty, with the standouts being the pate in the amuse bouche, and the beef Wellington for main. A bit more expensive than your average restaurant in Sun City, but if you would like to spoil yourself, definitely recommended."

"Great to have a M B up at Sun city. Capacinos were good for breakfast just had an early dinner. Waiter very attentive. Good of consistent standard. We had the welsh crumbed chicken which was a little dry. All good otherwise. Would strongly recommend. Going to be busy in summer"

"Visited over the busy Heritage day long weekend. I made a booking via Dineplan a week before my visit but when I called the day of visit they advised they aren’t taking dineplan reservations as it was offline but nevertheless Richard, the host, had space for us. The Shebeen is a SA Breweries initiative aimed at providing a township experience so don’t expect imported beers or beers on tap. Owing to the rugby World Cup there was a limited menu. We had the Chisa Nyama which was incredibly well made, the kids burger was actually an adult portion also very tasty. As it was heritage day, there was some live music as well but I must be honest in that the music only catered to a certain demographic, if you are going for a township experience, the music played should have been a representation of all South African music, not just a certain type. Overall a good experience and recommended when visiting Sun City."

"Probably the worst meal we have had ever! The sweet and sour pork was actually large pieces of schnitzel which needed to be cut with a knife and fork. It was coated in soggy, soft stuff (can’t call it batter) even the pieces without sauce. It was inedible and we sent it back. The Peking duck was not at all crispy and very fatty. The accompanying cucumber was so old and soggy it looked like it had been boiled. I asked for fresh cucumber and was told that was all they had. The few pancakes were tiny and stuck in the triangles they were folded in. The egg fried rice had green beans in it and was greasy, over cooked and mushy. Really, really awful meal!!"
