"Great place, great service, good eating an excellent value for money. my fantastic partner and I drove to beamish and stayed in washington. he started the day to maggie’s. dog-friendly, had bauchbuster breakfast, which is not only massive, but really high quality. Special...mention, I had a latte, omg so good I had a second."

"The best properties first; our recipe of judith was very friendly. our burgers were freshly cooked and accompanied by a small salad and a basket of chips, served on a flat board. the slad fell from the board and the balsamicoglasur stained my pants. only to pretentious for an ordinatry caffe. the burgers were good, but ciabatta was just a little too small to accredit them. chips were good and service attentive. I would have a real plate and a bit more ciabatta and salat preferred. price fair. I would have done it well, but not very well."

"We usually stay I guest house on street and Coles is our go to place for at least two rounds coffee and delicious toasted sandwich or treat .we are finally back after a year of virus restrictions.unfortunatly no b&b as yet so on caravan park in Hartlepool travelled to Sunderland went on seafront to cold to sit and eat outside at seaburn so came to Coles .knew as is current take away only.only filled brioche on offer .nice had them outside didn't order coffee don't like takeaway coffee in hand and no toilets . was looking forward to visiting with friends when we bring them to our favourite b& b in may when open again .(they are selling so last visit there. choice service and quality is the experience that was Coles £20 was the price of our usual coffee as we were tempted, to stay and have another and a treat our will power was nil .it was to my horror to find Coles is not re opening as before after lockdown it is staying as a take out.it is another thing gone to the dust in roker.so sad .I appreciate they can make more money by a take away only but not an experience to be enjoyed on holiday.our friends will be disappointed as we have promised them a weekend of quality.the food was great as always for a takeout bite .last trip in may I think it will be a upmarket American chain duplicate .good for workers lunch buy not a pleasure to savour in nice surroundings the atmosphere service and food Was a pleasure to look forward to the area is losing it's best attractions good accomodation and eateries .good luck guys you will be busy and fast turn over ,but after lockdown we wanted a return to normal .we will miss travelling away for a break lost accommodation and eatery in one swoop."

"I ordered an 18th birthday cake, the giant cupcake with specific instructions on the decoration. I collected the cake and was overwhelmed with complete disappointment at staring at the ugliest cake I've ever seen. It was expensive and the idea was that it would be special, a centrepiece. Clearly, the person making the cake has no artistic ability, it was ugly, my instructions were not followed, it was hard to understand the thinking behind producing a giant cupcake in shades of beige that I can only describe as resembling a large turd. I definitely would not recommend spending money on the giant cupcakes for special occasions, a cheap shop brought cake is a much safer and less expensive option. I did my best to remove the ugly brown biscuits plonked on top of the cake which I had requested were not added but it still looked awful, a few brown chocolates placed on a beige buttercream, with cream writing on the cake base that was so faint, it wasn't worth making the effort of putting it there. Unbelievably bad for the price."

"Visited for a afternoon tee with my family as a birthday pleasure, and was thrilled with the experience. nice fresh food, even for me as coeliac. service was exemplary and so friendly. we all enjoyed it and would recommend it."

"We found this place by a chance, as we were waiting for our train. But I couldn't be happier, this place was absolutely magical. We had hot chocolates and a tea as we didn't have much time, but everything was delicious. The staff was super friendly. If I haven't lived over 2000kms away from this place, I would be a regular customer for sure."
