The wife and I have ordered from Grindon Tandoori now for many years, we've tried every Indian takeaway in Sunderland but this is the best. Their Curries are always crammed with delicious ingredients, their balti is one of the tastiest, most authentic dishes I've ever had. Their naan bread deserves an award. What User doesn't like about Grindon Village Tandoori:
Usually quite good but I ordered today and it was horrible the curry and rice looked like it had turned to a paste which to me looks like they have had it in the heater to long the chicken was dry the popperdom was soggy. Just had madras takeaway best ive had in ages. It was quick and hot and fresh. Lad who takes the order is freindly and helpful.

Did not receive correct order! Mixed kebab was not cooked!!! Would definitely not recommend this Indian!!!!!!!!

"I’ve been to this restaurant once before and loved it so naturally we went back for this government eat out to help out scheme. I’m not one to complain so I didn’t at the time but the seafood in my linguine was disgusting and chewy, my boyfriend said his was mediocre, I get that they were busy so left it. It was al I ate yesterday and now I have severe stomach cramps and vomiting, and to make it worse, we were deffo over charged but you couldn’t tell as their bill was written on. £35 when mine and my partners food was £15 each, both should be half price so £15 all together plus a small wine, morretti, a lime and soda and a coke (shouldn’t be £20). As it’s made me sick I wouldn’t go back, the younger ladies out front however were lovely."

"Eating is nice, and the staff seems friendly. also the prices are decent. only so guilty, for me. is the cheeseburger .too small cheese and the cheese is too dry. also prices have risen. now add 50p to everything."
