I visited Taps for the first time with friends on a Wednesday night for a farewell gathering. I was really impressed with the layout of the restaurant and the wide selection of great beers on tap, many of which are hard to find elsewhere. When you visit this bar, you purchase a beer card for the amount of money you want to spend. With this card, you are able to pour your own beer. While this concept may seem novel, the end result is disappointing. The taps are set at such high pressure that you end up with mostly foam and very little actual beer.
