What Esmeralda Goodwin likes about Aurora Hotel:
With 15 friends for a reunion. Excellent venue,close to transport,Central station and bus at door. Very well managed hotel,the Manager, Craig reserved tables for us in upstairs area. The food is excellent with $10 Specials at lunchtime. Huge range of menu which was beautifully cooked and presented. Craig kept checking with us that all was good and his staff are a credit to him. What Claudia Hayes doesn't like about Aurora Hotel:
Went here for a company Christmas party the service was woeful (late and understaffed) and the food was terrible (all carbs, deep friend or rubbery chicken). 1 hour and 45 minutes after the scheduled start, they added a second waitress, but by that time...many people either had to go back to work, or they had gone downstairs to the takeaway shop to buy themselves some food. I was at an event here the other night and it was great....plenty of room indoors and out with a good bar and right in the heart of Surry Hills.
