A random call at the Westbourne Hotel proved delightful. The pub has just reopened from a bit of an upgrade plenty more upgrade to go (and required), but the food menu is new. Great appetisers that were really delicious. Going back for a Sunday lunch soon. Recommended for good service and good food. View all feedback.
What 744nicolaj doesn't like about The Westbourne:
Arrived for Sunday lunch, we queued at the bar to be seated, when ordering drinks we were asked very frankly “what dinner you having”, politely said we had not been seated nor had we seen a menu. Not the best welcome. When we did order our Sunday lunch it was fine, for what you pay for you can’t go wrong, however the beef was tough and it was swimming in gravy. Overall great price, but honestly wouldn’t recommend. View all feedback.
I went to Sunday dinner with my family and we were all very impressed. the portions were large and very tasty. my mother got the vegetarian nussbrats, which looked nicely that she had been stabbed by yorkshire some things I couldn't have. the vegan roast came with two veggie burgerpatties, which was actually really nice, although not a typical frying article.
Lovely food, good beer on tap with decent prices. Fantastic afternoon out. Will definitely return.

Great pub, lovely food and friendly staff. Couldn’t ask for more.
Went here for a meal for my daughter's 21st birthday, they were very accommodating and managed to seat our party of 9 at 2 tables next to each other (rule of 6 still applied) The staff were very friendly and helpful with our dietary requirements (1 Gluten-free and 1 Lactose intolerant) and even made my youngest daughter some dairy-free garlic bread! She was very impressed. They have a good range of vegan/dairy free and gluten-free options. Only complaint is that they ran out of gluten-free beer (I had 3) All in all a very pleasant experience.
