Despite making a booking, directed to a table then forgotten about. Asked a female who wasn 't from behind the bar if we could have some menus, she snapped have you made a booking to which I replied we had and where we were sitting. Lovely pub, first time here, will be returning thank you I would recommend less veg to save Sunday roast wastage Lovely food!
We have always had great food when visiting here in the past but this Sunday lunch wasn't so good. It gave us both diarrhoea when this was the only food we ate that day. The veg was well undercooked; roast parsnips and potatoes had been reheated in a deep fat fryer my boyfriend is a chef so was quite sure this was how they were reheated. Such a shame as loads of them. The gravy was very watery and tasteless. Hardly any cheesy taste in the cauliflower cheese. The meat wasn't hot. The crackling was excellent though. Overall, very disappointed as this was a treat.
Best pub food I’ve had ever. Highly recommended and the prices for the food are very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit. We will be coming back again for sure.
Pretty much never open but friendly staff and a great pint at a traditional pub
