What Alanna Bruen doesn't like about Café 1812:
Ordered eggs benedict. Arrived on a timely basis but truly dreadful. Sauce out of a jar, toast rather than English muffin as described on the menu and poached eggs made in a mould - I could make better at home. With so many great cafes nearby seriously need to lift their game. View all feedback. What Germaine Turner likes about Café 1812:
if they love books and bookstores, coffee and delicious food (because they need to do for the whole book browsing here), this is the perfect place-bliophiles will love it! View all feedback.

read moreThe cafe/bookstore featured in these reviews seems to offer a lovely atmosphere and a nice selection of food and drinks. However, some reviewers have expressed disappointment with the cafe closing early at times. The overall vibe of the bookstore and cafe is praised, with the food receiving mixed reviews - described as good but possibly lacking in warmth and freshness. The bookstore itself is charming with a mix of new and secondhand books. While the cafe's menu may be uninspired to some, the cold pressed juice is highlighted as a positive. The place seems to be ideal for book lovers who enjoy browsing while having coffee and food. Overall, this cafe/bookstore combination is recommended for those looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a quiet snack or meal, accompanied by a good book.
