Especially at happy hour (1500 to 1600approx) when most of the stalls offer, made up containers of pre selected dishes, for $3.50ea or three for $10.00, excellent value, and very tasty. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hunter Connection Asian Food:
This is a place for reasonably priced food, but is hurting as a result of all the roadworks in George Street. For best prices, get your take away meal at the end of the day when pre-selected boxes are available. View all feedback.
中華、ベトナム、日本とアジアンフードの店がずらーっと並ぶフードコート。 昼時に行ったらとても活気があった。

After a cheap meal? then head to Hunter Connection. I am not really a big fan and as there are better places for the same sort of food. It is cheap and if price dominates your decision, then this is a great spot.
OK, this place is easy to miss, but it is definitely a local habit. You can enter from Pitt St (go up the escalators), from Wynyard Station (go downstairs before heading out to George St, and walk through the tunnel), or from George St or Hunter St. If you are there on Thursday, try the chilli and ginger octopus at the Malaysian Curry House downstairs. This place is best if you go in a group and you want to sit together. It's open every day, but they only have this special octopus on Thursday. If you get there after 2pm everything will be finished, but you can still get a laksa or nasi lemak.Upstairs, it's packed and chaotic, but the food quality is high and the portions are generous. Good luck sitting together - you will still be sharing your table. But when you see the prices, you won't mind. You will get change from $10 for a huge meal.If you like Thai or Vietnamese, go straight ahead when you come up the escalators on the Pitt St side. The Hunter Connection also has Japanese, Italian, and sandwich bars, but I have never tried those. The Indian (downstairs as well) is pretty good, and you'll usually get a seat there. I prefer the Indian upstairs at Wynyard Station, but no seats there.Don't let the crowds put you off - it's not a place where people hang around too long (read: no ambience) but it's busy because it's good and cheap.
