Just a week ago Margherita Co. reopened after months of reconstruction. The new menu offers starters, sharing plates, salads, pizza, and pasta dishes, along with a complete bar menu. At present, orders are received at the bar. Once we were seated we were brought a carafe of water with lemon and fresh basil very refreshing! Except for the lovely service, my takeaway was very disappointed! Ordered the polenta fries that I enjoyed in house previously. Only came with a small amount of sauce and no aioli this time. They had started to sweat in the noodle bowl with a lid they came in. Otherwise okay. The chicken penne on the otherhand was horrible. Menu said basil pesto, pinenuts and salted ricotta.
