Good takeaway dim sim. Basic menu - but this is a food hall not a restaurant.The shrimp and the spinach dim sims were great - will be going back. Friendly patient service. Had the mushroom and capsicum too - but I didn't like it - was fine - but not for me. The shrimp dim sim was as good as any I had in Hong Kong. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tim Ho Wan:
Me and my friend went to grab some dim sim on a Sunday morning. We spent around $46 on the food and asked if they also sell any hot drinks which they didn't have. We politely asked for 2 cups of tap water and was told by the staff : " sorry we dont have tap water ".This is unacceptable!! I would not recommend anyone to ever eat here again. Disgusting! The Chinese cuisine at this restaurant was surprisingly affordable, especially considering its Michelin standards. The overall taste of the food was good, with some dishes tasting fantastic. However, some dishes lacked substance, like my congee, which was filled with congee itself but lacked other ingredients. Nonetheless, other dishes were great.
There was a deal on Foodora with a bonus credit for ordering from this Tim Ho Wan branch. Why not as yum cha suited for work lunch. The delivery was pretty quick and received the order in no time at all. <br/ <br/ The Baked Buns With BBQ Pork are delicious as always and survived the trip over. It was nice crumbly top and moreish filling. Beef Balls With Bean Curd Skin were nice but probably better at the restaurant when it was fresher. Same with the Beancurd Skin With Pork, Mushroom, Cabbage Carrots. The Steamed Egg Cake travelled well and still piping hot and soft when it arrived. Taste is also yummy!
Good authentic Chinese food that remind me of home made cooking
Really quick waiting time, average service and delicious food! The servings sizes are on the small side unfortunately but the tasty and unique desserts make up for it!
BBQ Pork Bun is my favourite, i'm always so excited to come to Tim Ho Wan, with great selection of HK gems.<br/ <br/ Chicken Feet with Abalone Sauce is so good!<br/ Lotus Leaf Steamed Rice is great, always consistent.
