that was our first food experience in Taiwan and we were not disappointed. served super delicious hot pots, beside dishes and gloomy in a cozy atmosphere. undesirable grinding times available. do not use plastic/three-away cutlery or table goods! View all feedback.
This is a really popular all-vegan shop specializing in soba and udon, with some other Japanese options and a variety of sides. It's not a super big place, so you'll likely have to wait. There's a QR code posted out front that you scan to register your place in line. When it's you turn (or when you're next up) they'll give you another QR code that you can use to order. Pretty straightforward. I had the zarusoba set with pickles, vegetable tempura, seaweed soup, and red bean soup for dessert. All was delicious. The noodles had a fantastically chewy texture. The dipping sauce for the soba was perfect, with just the right amount of wasabi. Tempura came out hot with light batter and a rich sauce. Pickles were nicely presented and well seasoned. The soup was about as good as seaweed soup gets, which isn't super good, but I still enjoyed it. Red bean soup was standard but enjoyable. Strongly recommend a visit; its popularity is deserved. For the quality, the price wasn't outrageous, and there's even a vegan bakery attached to it that you can visit while you wait.
The noodles are chewy and perfectly done. Love the taste and everything is served with attention to details. Love it.
Crowded really quickly right after it opened, an extremely popular place. Had the original cold noodles and soup udon, tempura, fried tofu.
Stopped by for lunch after visiting its sister-bakery (Yiihotang next door, ordering the Meal Set for Two (one spicy udon, one tomato broth udon, with tempura and black sesame tofu, and matcha ice cream . The tomato broth udon was delicious, the spicy udon is indeed spicy now and also delicious. Also enjoyed the sides and dessert, although the matcha flavour could have been stronger (Yiihotang's matcha pudding hit the spot much more . Note that they also sell a few products for at home (seaweed snack, barista non-dairy milk, etc. . Would be happy return and try the other broths (oat milk! , or cold soba in the summer time. Definitely worth visiting! Updated from previous review on 2022-12-08
Good noodles with choices of broth (miso, kimchi, curry, spicy), lots of side dishes and soy milk based drinks and desserts
