"Very good service. Food wasn?t amazing. Nachos could?ve used more toppings considering the price and pickled jalepenos instead of fresh ones. The menu was different that what I was expecting from looking on google previously, so just be prepared. Great beer/drink selection but overall we preferred the main brewery location outside of town. The food here was overpriced and this generally felt like a tourist trap. Go to Denali Brewing (the flagship) instead? loved it there!"

"Another stop on our road trip from anchorage to fairbanks and the arctic circle was here. I had heard some great things about this place and had to see for myself. the place is a medium-sized cabin with a large deck that goes around like a redundan. the hotel is located on the main street with other places to shop, eat and drink. a beautiful small town alaska experience. service was excellent! let me also tell them that there are several things that alaska does not play - landscape, adventure, eating and beer are at the top of this list. we had a great time here."

"These burgers were amazing, I got elk to try it out, they had beef, bison, elk, and caribou burgers. Originally thought they were a little pricey, but you get your moneys worth in both quantity and quality. A huge tasty burger with a good side portion (I got tater tots). Staff was very friendly and nice even as I was picking up close to closing and was the only one there. Perfect take out spot for anyone visiting Talkeetna"

"Bomb ? pizza with lots of cheese and covered in toppings!!! there was a slight miscommunication when I asked for a customized pizza and they cooked brought out the missing topping on the side promptly even though I said not to worry with it. I was thrilled to find such a great spot with generous portions. highly recommend!!!"

"This is the kinda' place that money can't recreate. The history of outdoor pursuits all over the walls, the log cabin like interior,, the cookie subscription they provide , the several stone hearths and the home cooked food supplied in the morning, warms your soul like a cup of hot chocolate brought to you by a your grandma on a cold night. This place is exactly what you didn't know you needed. I will come back here, over and over again."

"One might question their choice when they exit the road and turn into the driveway for the Flying Squirrel. A nearly empty parking lot at 5:45, and a building that, well, doesn’t look much like a thriving bakery and restaurant. Upon entering the building we’re greeted by several menu boards, handwritten in chalk outlining choices for breakfast, sandwiches, salads, soups and pizza. As noted in previous reviews orders are placed at the counter, and then one finds a seat. There are numerous choices but we chose a large 1/2 red pizza with fresh vegetables and 1/2 pepperoni with a salad. With two drinks, the large salad, pizza and a tip, the bill came to just over $50. The food was delivered to the table and was delicious. Plentiful toppings, and a quality dough as one would expect from a bakery. A bit quirky is the place when you have to clean your table, and take things to the various bins, but I expect from the sign on the door that they are also suffering from employee issues. Staff was friendly and professional. Overall a pleasant meal."
