I've been here for years. It is very quiet and usually very dead, because not many locals are here as they once did. It is not so much the place, it is the fact that times change, and many old street bars and restaurants along Alaska's highways disappear slowly. Hold on one of these days and take a beer, look at the lake and the classic Alaskan decor. View all feedback.

Great friendly service! Lots of things to see while you wait for your food. Our server was very personable and was glad to have us. Overall would recommend!

"The owners are vegetarian, but serve reindeer and fish as part of the 'Alaska' experience. The restaurant is connected to the Denali Brewing Company, a local microbrau. The house made Veggie Burger is made of chic pea, broccoli, mushroom, and other general goodness. The Patty is HUGE and is served for diving with mountain-sized sweet potatoes and a lemon caper aioli. If you have found yourself in Talkeetna, enjoy the view . . then enjoy Twister Creek Restaurant!"

"Talkeetna here, this is my way to the burger joint when I need a quick bite. because they are not mainly in the city, the traffic here is not almost as heavy as the other restaurants in the opposite. When they arrive in a bus, this is directly over the road from the bus depot and it takes literally seconds to go here. the shirley burger with the points is a great first choice. apropos deads, they have fantastic proportions for their sides. shirley doesn't disappear at this end. the owner is incredibly nice and personal. the burger barn will come my business for years."
