I and my partner visit the riffy at least once in the week, we never had a bad meal in the months of visit, they can not go to the trips too. amy is irritating and if I don't appear literally and again...in the hope to get a table, she always creates it for us, the same must be said for all the staff, her kind and seem happy to be at work, it's refreshing! we look forward to our visits and thought it's the time we ga... Very average. Saturday and half quid for a few chips and pieces of scampi ..then added for mushy peas. Not impressed by the food at all. Drinks reasonably priced . Desserts didnt look too badly priced but didnt bother..probably been charged extra...for a spoon if i had ordered. View all feedback.
Absolutely shocking service. The bar staff are rude specifically Amy and James and to top it off there managers I've worked in pubs and restaurants for years and never experienced any think like this in my life my first visit we spent pound...on rounds he was very rude and said we have to leave if we are noisy. I asked him if my money wasn't good enough and his reply was not from you kind now how would you take that as a mixed raced women. So we thought we would give it another go so took the family and of us went for food Tuesday September there was a little mishap with the little old lady over from us using the f word towards the kids we asked her if she had kids and she screamed at us to f#$k our self's so my dad did responded with a naughty word but then all of a sudden the lady behind the bar Amy screamed at us In front of other customers to get the f$%k out baring in mind we just ordered meals so we all got up and left and obviously didn't pay because she told us to pay at the end but obviously we didn't because we didn't receive our food But we had a good night in the end at the Wigginton highly recommend peeps good service and great food.
Our party of adults, children) ate at The Riftswood last week in celebration of my little boys birthday. I booked the table online. We were really impressed with everything. Firstly we were really happy to see that our table was located...in the conservatory and essentially gave our party a private space to enjoy. The menu has plenty of choice, the prices are excellent value and the food was really good! Staff were all really friendly and professional and the kitchen did an amazing job of serving all meals at the same time, despite everything being ordered on four different tickets. There is a lovely garden outside, which our kids enjoyed playing in and all in all we felt very relaxed and welcome. We all agreed we would definitely be returning again.
Received a warm welcome when entering the premises by the gentleman working i think his name was james, who seated us at the table and was told there was a half hour wait on food at the minute due to the level of trade,...considering how busy the restraunt was i found this was a fair wait on food. Upon sitting down i was pleasently surprised to see how clean not only the table but the menus was aswell. After browsing the menu for a couple of minutes a young pleasant waitress came over to us and took our drink order which was then brought over to us exceptionally quick considering the level of trade. After a few more minutes i went up to the bar and ordered our food, again i was there would be a minute wait on food. I ordered the all american platter for myself, the gammon for my partner and then the over nuggets and kids burger for my kids. After making my way back to table, told my partner there was still a wait on food but to our great surprise and absolute enjoyment the food arrived within minutes and all i can say is for the price you pay the quality and portion sizes are outstanding... we fully enjoyed our visit to this pub and felt extremly safe in regardes to the current climate with the pandemic. They keep this pub in extremly tip top shape with the cleaniness and we will be returning soon. Thank you the riftswood
Greeted by a row of red dustbins mostly overflowing. Pile of rubbish dumped next to the bins including lampshade and bar tables Dead hanging baskets as you enter the building Overflowing ashtrays on the tables outside full of water to boot(Lovely...aroma) Cigarette ends and various rubbish on the floor surrounding the tables. This do not look recent) Plug sockets loose on the wall towards the toilets at the top end of the bar approximately where the old bar went across by the outdoor hatch. (For those who know! Damp patch on the ceiling again roughly in the same space A general appearance of scruffyness and lack of idea and knowhow. Semi cold mediocre processed food on cold plates jazzed up with American terminology on the menu. Basically FarmFoods for the uninitiated. Try try try harder Jimmy. I go to country pubs if I want a decent meal and you immediately notice the difference, its so easy to see . CAN I RECOMMEND THE RED LION AT HOPWAS for a pleasant, locally sourced FRESH meal anytime of day. Disgusting pub. Disgusting appearance
Ate here with my partner sister and her children The menu is diverse enough to accommodate us all, including our lactose intolerant member however covid directions were not even explained to us. Was served by different members of staff, however they were all...pleasant and the food was delicious. Would eat again when covid is over as I'm not sure whether I'd feel safe rn
