River Bakey -  Tamworth,

A visit to this restaurant in Tamworth is a must! The food is delicious, the host is welcoming, and the service is top-notch. You can relax on their charming terrace while enjoying a satisfying lunch or a tasty snack. Their lunch options are irresistible.

We stopped to check out the bakery in Tamworth. There is a wide variety of choice from squares, tarts, cakes, cinnamon buns, savoury treats, breads etc. The staff is super friendly, the place is very clean and the prices are very good. We bought butter...tarts, pineapple squares and lemon meringue tarts.They were all very good, my favorite were the lemon meringue tarts.

The River Bakery offers a great selection of eat or take away menu items that can vary from smoked salmon to mouth watering ribs. They also retail a selection of bread, coffee and unique frozen food products.

Our visit to the bakery was completely random as we traveled from toronto to ottawa. we are very pleased that we have stopped because the marmor roggenbrot and the Pecan butter cake were delicious (and we have the tarte very preferred to one we had tried. further south earlier at the weekend). we will pass tamworth on our next dawdle through ontarios hinterland.

We passed through Tamworth and my husband wanted to grab a bite to eat, so we decided to stop at the Bakery Cafe Patio. We shared a delicious Reuben on marble rye with house-made Russian dressing. My husband enjoyed a root beer, made with cane sugar instead of corn syrup like most other brands. I opted for a really nice cup of coffee. I'm always wary of ordering coffee because many places skimp on quality, but luckily this one was great. My husband also tried a bourbon butter tart, which he thought was alright but could have had more raisins. Butter tarts can vary so much in texture and flavor, that it's hard to please every butter tart enthusiast. Overall, we had a good experience at the bakery and will definitely return when we're in the area again.
